Islamic Date Today in the UK
UK communities follow different moon-sighting and calculation policies. The table uses Umm al-Qura and the Europe/London timezone, including daylight saving time.
| Timezone | Gregorian Date | Hijri Date |
|---|---|---|
| Greenwich Mean Time Europe/London | 17 Jumada al-Awwal 1448 AH |
Why can today's Hijri date differ?
Dates use the calculated Umm al-Qura calendar. Local moon sighting may differ by a day. Civil dates change at midnight; Islamic religious days begin at sunset.
A timezone selects the civil day used in a calculation; it does not select a country's moon-sighting decision. Use the date converter's day adjustment if your local calendar differs.

The countdown measures UTC calendar dates to the first civil day. The first evening begins at sunset the day before. Dates are calculated and subject to local moon sighting.
